Rain in Bangkok

The last thing you want when you’re on holiday is rain. When we booked for Bangkok, we booked at the end of the rainy season, and yet we still got the tail end of the season. Boy, when it rains in Thailand, it really rains. I’ve never seen rain and thunderstorms like it, and I loved every second of it.

Thank god my Leica SL3-S was weather-sealed. The opportunities the weather offered for street photography were unbelievable.

I think all in all we had three, maybe four days where it rained; it didn’t rain for long, but long enough for the streets to flood and for the people to be soaked to the bone.

The storms were awesome to just sit and watch. The lighting was biblical, and the thunder was so loud that it would shake the ground or the buildings.

I wanted to share some of the photos I took while it was raining in Bangkok, enjoy.
